Gold Panning Dish HC70/1-9

A round metal gold panning dish with sloping sides with depth of 80mm.

Known as gold dish pans these pans are similar to those that have been used for hundreds of years. Pans have been made out of a variety of materials including wood, cow horns and steel. The first goldrush in New Zealand was in 1952 in the Coromandel.
