Three straight temple spectacles with metal frames.

Machine produced spectacles were made from 1833 until WWI. The first 'spectacles' were made in the 1200s. Modern glass was developed in the 1700s.

One set of Pince-Nez spectacles popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The name comes from French pincer, "to pinch", and nez, "nose".
