Writing Slates HC106


Dark grey slates in a variety of sizes. Three slates are held in wooden frames. 

Used during the 1800s by school children all over the world. Slate was more durable and cheaper than paper. Slates were written on with slate pencils made of soft slate soapstone or pressed clay.
