Salvation Army Hat HC20


A flat top cap in navy blue serge with navy blue grosgraine band trimmed with red. Black leather peak is lined in green. There is a thin leather strap across the front.

The Salvation Army began in 1865. It was founded by William Booth a minister who believed in helping the sick and poor. By 1880 the Salvation Army uniform was an important part of the identity of the Church. It was designed to be practical and hardwearing.
