A green plastic 700 series desk telephone. Handset rests in cradle at the top of the phone. Central rotary dial numbered 0 to 9 on face of phone.

The most popular choice of telephone worldwide in the 1950s and 1960s. Available in seven colours. These phones were issued by the New Zealand Post Office. By 1960 New Zealand had over 600 000 telephones in operation.
